A new chapter for Nicole Feller-Johnson designs.... my first BOOK!!!

OK, so you know I have been all sneaky lately with the good news, but I'm now ready to announce that I am writing my first knitting book!  It will be published by Cooperative Press under the guidance of the fabulous Shannon Okey. I'm still not spilling the title (just yet), but I do have a small hint for all you ravenous pattern junkies-- it will be a Philadelphia-inspired collection of high fashion knitwear!
Tons of patterns with a couture bent, and lots of detailed design for those of you who love to knit pieces with something special to them.  This project has been too exciting so far-- we have test knitters from all over the world working on the garments, and have yarn support from truly luxurious companies and talented indy dyers.  For those of you who love luxury yarns, this book will make you very happy!  Our most recent sponsor is Windy Valley Musk Ox, and if you didn't have a reason to try their quiviuk before, you will soon ;)  And if you want to be the very first to know when the book is available for pre-sale, you can sign up HERE to be put on the CP mailing list and get first dibs.

So, I'm pinching myself, because I still can't quite believe it!   And I want to thank everyone who has helped me come this far, because it could never have happened without your loyal support. It's been quite  a journey, from Etsy, Ravelry and on to Knitcircus; soon, a new chapter in my design life will begin... as a real published author for Cooperative Press. Who would have ever thought two sticks and some string could make all this happen? Well ok, to be fair, some of the string is pretty amazing ;)

Above is an image of my sister Kathryn wearing the Afternoon of a Fawn dress, shot on location in Philly... this is a piece I submitted in my book proposal as an example of my design work. It was knit in Madelinetosh and NoTwoSnowflakes yarns, and you may see some yarn support from these dyers in the book, hint hint :)  I know many of you have seen this before, but I'm not allowed to show off any of the new designs... this is last season's favorite.  Here's to a whole new collection of gorgeous couture knits, designed in Philadelphia and handmade all over the world !
