Coming Back
Exciting news! My "Key to My Heart" Mittens were submitted and accepted by Knitcircus Magazine, for their Winter #8 Issue--this will be my first in-print pattern, and I am super excited!!! More info as the release date gets closer, but I know the mag can be found in LYS's and you will be able to download the entire issue as well from the Knitcircus website.
So much has happened since I last wrote! My cousin's Jaimee is now married, the wedding was lovely and elegant; I finished her ring pillow, knit in Plymouth Mulberry Merino in the Natural color. No Two Snowflakes has also released my newest pattern, Flying Trapeze Lace Tunic, which was modeled by the beautiful Kiersten (at present I am far too preggers to model!). This sample was knit up in Reynold's Rapture. Also released this month is Baby, Take a Bow! a FREE Ravelry download, although we are accepting donations for a very good friend who has been injured and cannot work. New on the yarn front-- the Mystery Dyer has brought us the first of the Fall Cashmere's, and they are INCREDIBLE! Two different DK weights made their way to the shop this week, as well as some gorgeous new Merino/Cashmere/Silk laceweight-- yummy :) From Karen Walker we have the Neptune's Net KAL happening on Ravelry... this pattern is due out by early October, so far our test knitters have been doing a great job and providing lots of excellent feedback.
On the needles now-- Gooseberry Cardigan by Hannah Fettig, knit in Great Adirondak Sierra, a handpainted 100% heathered alpaca, in the Painted Desert Colorway. Also making some headway on my Kaleidescope Cardigan, knit in Lena Brown Designs handpainted Angora blend, 85% Bunny! This cardi is super thin, but I expect the halo to come up and be just delicious! I have also stashed a little bit of Mirasol Tupa for the Paper Dolls Sweater, the yarn comes in incredible jewel tones, I chose Auburn, Hot Pink Topaz, and Gold. My LYS Nangellini carries a full color line of this yarn, I want almost every color!
Summer has wound down, Robert had a few trips to LBI with the family, and went to Sesame Place as well with his cousin Shane. Ballet starts next week, I miss my girls and am ready to be back!! Bobby and I are hard at work getting ready for the new baby, and Robert's 2nd birthday is right around the corner-- lots to do!
